A couple of weeks ago my boyfriend took me on a shopping spree as a birthday treat. It was a really great idea for a birthday present as it meant I got to spend the whole day with my boy as well as getting spoiled rotten. It has taken a while for me to get round to posting this because I have been crazy busy lately but now I finally get to share with you all the treats I bought that day!
Dress – BS8 Bristol
I love, love, love this dress! As you all know by now I adore anything with loud, bright prints and the print on this dress is as loud as they come.
Wedge sneakers – Republic
A pair of wedge sneakers have been on my wishlist for the last six months but I just hadn’t got round to buying a pair. I found these beauts in Republic. They had been reduced from £60 down to just £10! Steal!
Accessories – Primark
Hot pants and leggings – H&M
Both these items are so bright, perfect for summer.
Jersey and skirt – Primark// Crop top – H&M
I’ve seen lots of bloggers wearing sports jerseys as dresses lately so when I spotted this one in Primark for just £6 I thought I would give this trend a go myself. Although as yet I haven’t been able to style this dress in a way that feels right for me.
Purse – Clothing federation
This fab purse is handmade and quirky. I adore it!
I feel so spoiled to have gotten all these goodies, I haven’t even had the chance to wear them all yet. Keep an eye out for them in lots of outfit posts coming soon.
Hey Guys and Dolls,
My birthday is coming up and since I haven’t posted a wishlist in a while so I thought it may be fun to share my birthday wishlist with you.
1. Chain Me Free Bomber from Nasty Gal – I am so in love with this jacket! The front panels are cut out and the wonderful chain detailing gives it a fab grunge feel. Think how amazing this would look over a neon bodycon dress.
2. UK Flag Shred Top from Blue Banana – Another grunge piece, I’m really loving anything with tassels right now.
3. Eagle necklace from Kukee – This statement necklace is from my fave online jewellery store. A perfect nod to the Americana trend.
4. Meow in space tee from Batoko – This may not be to everyone’s taste but it was made for me. Galaxy print and a cat wearing a cape, what more could I ask for in a t shirt?
5. Box wristlet bag from H! by Henry Holland – Henry Holland is one of my all time fave designers and I love his H! collection for Debenhams. I’m digging the neon and snakeskin on this bag, two trends for the price of one! 🙂
6. Spaniel necklace from Veuxdoo – You may have seen me tweeting about this necklace last week. It’s so cute and kooky, gotta have it.
7. Let’s Ride Homegirl t-shirt from The Pretty Junk – It has a unicorn on it, enough said.
Hey Guys and Dolls!
First of all I think I owe you all an apology. My blog posts have been very thin on the ground since I returned from my trip to Africa. I don’t really have an excuse for my lack of posts, its just laziness really. Must try harder!
Anyway today I want to share with you an outfit I have been wearing a lot lately
I really love wearing this outfit it feels so fun and playful. As you may have noticed in previous posts I am a fan of big bold prints and this outfit certainly has a lot of them. I will admit this look is quite loud and won’t be to everyone’s taste. Mixing different prints can be quite tricky and doesn’t always work. When putting this look together I tried to create a sense of symmetry by matching the colour of the top to the shoes and balancing the floral print of the trousers with the floral print on my headband. Because there is so much going on with the clothes I have kept my hair, makeup and accessories very minimal.
I have to say how much I love these trousers. The cut and fit is just perfect which is surprising as they only cost £25. They feel very feminine to wear, as does the top which is slightly cropped and so shows a cheeky bit of flesh.

You have probably noticed my new hair colour. It is very similar to my natural colour. I haven’t had brown hair for years and I must say it feels really odd to have such a natural look. I am liking it at the moment but it probably won’t last too long!
Hope you all had a great weekend 🙂
Hey Guys and Dolls!
It’s not long now until my trip to South Africa and Botswana, 22 sleeps to go! So I have started thinking about what I will be wearing. I’m really just using this trip as an excuse to buy a new spring wardrobe. I want to wear some of the key trends for spring such as florals, western and graphic prints whilst also being practical for the weather and the activities I will be doing.
I have put together a couple of fashion moodboards for inspiration.
Clockwise from top left: Lilac floral leggings, Tie front crop shirt from Topshop , Zebra crop top, Pearl trim sunglasses, Aztec print backpack, Straw hat, Aztec denim shirt, Pistachio shorts
Clockwise from top left: Cartoon eyes jumper, Aztec print dress, Tiger jumper, Floral print trousers, Number 17 from Topshop, Linen shorts, Acid wash denim shirt
What do you guys think? What are you going to be wearing this spring?
Hey guys! I’ve been crazy busy these last few days so no time to blog. But I will have loads of new posts for you soon I promise 🙂 Anyways, I spotted quite a few of these ‘eye tattoos’ whilst out shopping today. Basically they are stickers that you stick on your eyelids. Some of the designs were cute but really I’m not quite sure how I feel about them. I like dramatic eye makeup but maybe some of them are a little too OTT? Also I don’t know why I should shell out for eye tattoos when I think I could just do a similar design with my eyeliner pen. They seemed popular in the store though. I saw a few people buy them. So maybe its just me who doesn’t really get the point? It would be nice to hear some other peoples opinion on them.
The party season is coming up and every year I buy myself a couple of really special dresses to wear to the various Christmas parties and events I need to attend, but not this year, this year I’m wearing shorts! I love the recent trend of really classy and luxurious shorts worn as a statement. The key to this trend is opulence, the more lavish the better. Think embellishment, sequins, feathers, velvet and jacquard. More is more! I will be wearing mine with a plain black blouse, since the shorts are so flashy the top needs to be kept simple in order to avoid looking trashy. I will also be wearing a big statement necklace to give the outfit a party feel.
Here are some of my favourite party shorts that I have found on the highstreet:
